Our client is a blue chip company and market leader in its sector working within both the branded and own label arenas.  The business has seen significant growth recently and is looking to strengthen its communications team with a PR Manager.

As Public Relations Manager you will be responsible for the management and implementation of PR Plans working closely with the head of communications and brand managers. You will build and maintain close working relationships with the media, in particular food journalists, developing a top class media contact list.  You will be tasked with writing creative and effective press releases and preparing information for media mailings.  As a successful PR manager you will use the latest marketing tools to your advantage; delivering social media strategies and providing content for the businesses blog. You will have a positive and enthusiastic manner in order to achieve goals and objectives and have the ability to demonstrate personal commitment to the role even when under significant pressure.

To be considered for this exciting PR role you will already be a PR professional operating within the food industry.  You will have excellent communication skills and will be educated to degree level.   Previous experience of managing external agencies and suppliers is desirable as is a previous track record of creating detailed plans and timescales whilst meeting deadlines.
