QA Team Leader

We have a great opportunity for a QA Team Leader to oversee the quality team for this large food manufacturer.

Job Description

The client is a multinational, multi product giant who produces huge numbers of products each week for all of the major retailers. Product quality and Innovation are core values and they strive for the best in each. This business has a number of sites for you to potentially work in & to further develop your career across a number of different product categories and customers.

The key responsibility will be to lead and motivate the QA team in monitoring and evaluating product and processing systems and factory practices to ensure agreed standards of quality are achieved and improved upon. In addition this role should take a lead in generating and building a quality culture to promote best practise across the site. Other responsibilities include:

• To ensure products and ingredients are evaluated against specification
• Manage QA activities required to deliver improvement of Technical KPIs
• To coordinate QA requirements for product launches
• To assist in delivery of site standards for visits and audits

The ideal candidate will have experience of leading a small team with well developed people management skills. Also, experience within food manufacturing and ideally chilled will be important as will an understanding of HACCP, GMP and micro issues.
