Our Client is a very well known business operating within one of the UK’s largest grocery categories worth in excess of £8bn. The company works within both the branded and own label sectors and as such they have strong links to all the major UK retailers. Innovation and product quality are at the core of the business values and this is reflected in some of the UK’s best-known and well-loved brands.

The Quality Development Manager position is a brand new role created to drive quality and consistency across the various UK sites within the business. As Quality Development Manager you will report directly to the Group Quality Improvement Manager and you will be tasked with developing and implementing the quality competence model for the company. A key part of the Quality Development Manager’s role will be to roll out quality awareness training programmes and competency development programmes across the business.

To be considered for this opportunity you will have a strong technical background, educated to degree level in a science related discipline. Experience within the Food Industry as a Technical Manager is desirable but not necessarily essential for this role, knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing would also be desirable. Excellent coaching and training skills are a must have for this very people focused, quality improvement role.
