Summary

We’re looking to recruit a Development & Innovation Chef with expertise in Indian cooking. You need not have previous experience of working in a food manufacturing environment however, an absolute must is extensive first hand working knowledge of Indian Cooking; authenticity and regional knowledge is vital.

The role will be based in the Midlands, and is easily accessible from a number major road networks. Our client is a division of a large food group who produce chilled ready meals for retail clients; branded and retailer own label. In recent years they have been recognised and awarded for their proactive approach to product development and delivery of creative products that have set industry benchmark standards. They are the product developers and producers behind a significant number of repeat purchase products in retail.

One of the most positive aspects of working as part of this NPD team is their support and encouragement for each other. For Chefs who have not yet made the transition to the manufacturing sector there will be guidance and training. From the outset you will be allowed to take ownership of projects and inject your own culinary flair and be encouraged to share your food knowledge with the wider NPD team and customers. Your approach to work should be organised and methodical, a team player who is respectful of others opinions, and one who is not afraid to challenge or be challenged. You will often find yourself working under strict deadlines and its important that you are able to remain focused and work with consistency.

We are keen to hear from Chefs who have a passion and real knowledge around Indian cookery, which has perhaps been developed from working overseas or in restaurants of a high standard.

It is important that you have a degree of IT competency, and car driver essential.

We can only consider Chefs who have a legal right, or work visa in place to work in the UK.
