Logistics Manager - Food Manufacturing

Summary

This is a Senior Logistics role focusing on Operational and Transport Process. The role manages a Warehouse facility with close liaison with manufacturing, transport, planning and suppliers. Both Raw material and Finished Gods are stored at the warehouse facility.

Job Description

The client is a food manufacturer and operates manufacturing sites throughout the UK. This role is based in London. The role would suit an individual with extensive logistics management experience with understanding of warehousing systems and their implementation. You will need to be able demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills to both the internal management team and to suppliers. Measurement, Control and Continuous Improvement strategies are critical to the success of this department. You will ensure through the teams that Customer Service targets are achieved and constantly maintained. Experience of using a variety of different warehousing systems would be advantageous to the role. The Client is keen to recruit an individual into the role that is logical, organised, and can develop current practices.

Ideally Food Manufacturing experience
To be able to Lead and Motivate the Despatch and Good In team.
Good Knowledge of the Logistics process, with experience of short to medium term continuous performance improvement strategies.
Good written and verbal communication
Good analytical and numeric skills
