Job Description

This business is going through a change programme that will see itself fully equipped to capitalise on the growth of its market sector and become established as the leader in its field. Consequently, the need has arise for an Operations Manager to take responsibility for the day to day running of the factory operations – focussing on daily KPI achievement as well as driving CI initiatives to maximise the full potential of people and plant.

Ideally with a background in, or strong understanding of engineering, coupled with a track record of operations management in the food sector, you will be able to demonstrate a natural flair for lean manufacturing. Not just fully conversant with the terminology of FMEA, SMED, 5s etc, you are also able to translate them into the daily operations of the teams you manage so that it becomes an integral part of the business’s work culture.

The client is looking for candidates with truly influential people skills and someone with the vision to deliver working practices that will enable the business to maintain its edge in the market – both UK and overseas.
