You will be involved in product concept to launch, sourcing, promotional planning as well as being responsible for the resolution of quality and general issues and requests.

The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting the Purchasing Manager to deliver the purchasing and supplier strategy for the business. The role also involves supporting the Purchasing Manager to drive cost initiatives, data compilation and analysis, stock management and ensuring security of supply for the company.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience and or an appreciation of purchasing, either through experience or academic study.

In order to be successful in this role you will demonstrate a real desire to learn and develop a career within the purchasing function. Key to your success will be the ability to develop and sustain credible working relationships with key stakeholders to enable business objectives are met.

You must also be able to prioritise effectively, be highly numerate and analytical in order to ensure that you are able to deliver the day-to-day administrative support to the department in addition to delivering time defined projects that generate significant benefits to the business.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and/or experience in a food manufacturing environment with raw material, added value exposure an advantage.
