Job Description

I’m recruiting for a Work In Progress - Shift Manager for a large blue chip food manufacturer.

Our client is a leading chilled food manufacturing business that supplies one of the UK’s most prestigious retailers. This site is based in Fife and is commutable from Edinburgh, East side of Glasgow and Linlithgow. In this role you manage a small team of eight within the WIP area of the factory.

You will ensure that food safety and product specifications are met with regards to raw materials. You must organise and manage labour, equipment, materials and packaging within the shift/section to exceed agreed targets. You will also exceed required standards of food safety, hygiene and GMP.

You must always ensure that the Operations/Factory Manager, peer Shift/Section Managers and Planning are made fully aware of any issues which will significantly impact performance of the shift/section.

• Be able to develop a strong understanding of the equipment / machines / product / raw materials in area of control.
• Be able to operate at a fast pace, within an ever changing environment.
