Job Description

You will manage a number of wholesale accounts – being responsible for revenue and margin as agreed in the annual budget plan. You will optimize customer opportunities with existing and potential new accounts. Liaising with customer service, production and logistics to ensure excellence in customer service. We want you to be entrepreneurial, identifying and developing sales opportunities for the brand as well as own label products into existing and potential accounts.You will be given significant levels of responsibility to drive business and your career.
You will liaise and work with the Depot General Managers and Sales Managers at your customers to optimise sales and develop plans to stay ahead of competitors; maintain existing business and develop new opportunities.
A great business sets high standards and selection criteria. It is essential you are a proven team player with have excellent personal communication skills, good attention to detail with a flexible proactive approach to business coupled with a proven track record of wholesale account management. You will be able to demonstrate the commercial acumen to maintain and enhance margin aspirations in a highly competitive environment. It is equally important you can show the ability to build long term relationships at all levels within wholesale customers amongst the general managers, sales managers, telesales, supply chain, buying and technical teams.
We will want to see the ability to plan, manage and prioritise workloads. In order to meet both the company and customers expectations in terms of service, support and internal communication.
Knowledge of the bakery or ingredient sectors would be a distinct advantage, yet is not essential.
This role will cover the south of the UK and therefore it is expected you will travel extensively staying away from home as is required.
