Operation Manager - Food Manufacturing

Job Description

The site manufactures chilled products for a range of leading Retailers. The opportunity, due to the scale and scope of the operation, allows personal development through working with excellent manufacturing professionals.

The role reports into the Site Manager and is accountable for the Food Manufacturing Operation. Its focus is to ensure that the Shift Managers, Team Leaders and Operatives fully understand the manufacturing strategy and how their accountabilities input into the overall plan. The role is focused on ensuring the right systems are in place and that the KPI targets are consistently met and exceeded.

The role also proactively look at ways to improve the factory operation through continuous improvement and involving the manufacturing teams and different functions to improve business performance.

The role is accountable for Team Development, ensuring that there is succession planning within the team from operative, team leader, shift management levels.

The role is focused on ensuring there is excellent communication, through visible communication and verbal methods at all levels within the manufacturing environment.

This role is a Mon-Fri, day-based role.

You must have experience of Production/Operations/Factory Management, within a fast paced food-manufacturing environment. You will have a successful track record of achievement through improving productivity, continuous improvement and building factory teams.
