Job Description

The client is certainly one you would be proud to say you worked for. Instantly recognisable, this business leads the way in product development through supporting their employees and giving them all the freedom they need to complete projects to the best of their ability. As such, there is very little “red-tape” to stifle innovation – projects completed here are truly great. You will be working in a very positive environment that breeds success and following my visit there, can genuinely say everyone seems to be working with a big smile on their face.

Several exciting opportunities now exist for individuals to develop new and existing suppliers to deliver our growth and commercial targets while ensuring they meet the companies Quality standards. A key requirement of the job is to continually review and drive improvement of these standards through supplier auditing, risk management and influencing the packaging supply base to continually improve their quality performance. The relationship with internal clients is also critical to this role to understand the needs of the business and the technical requirements for the packs. The job holder will have responsibility for packaging materials from around 30 suppliers and the European nature of the supply base means travel up to 40% of time is required.

You will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Science or Engineering discipline or equivalent. You will also have experience in leading Continuous Improvement projects within a multi-functional team and finally a sound knowledge of risk management and quality tools.

Technical knowledge of packaging is an advantage but not essential for these roles but strong auditing skills will be beneficial.
