Raw Materials QA Manager

Summary

We currently have an opportunity for a QA Raw Materials Manager for a leader in the chilled food manufacture sector, based in the Lincolnshire area, which could offer an exciting role for the right person.

Job Description

This business is a multi-sited, multi-product food giant with sites all across the UK. They are innovation led and quality driven and are seen as market leaders in a number of area’s and raw material management plays a large part in this. This specific site manufactures a range of ready made meal solutions to a premium customer. This business has a proven track record of developing its employees through a structured career path.

Your main accountabilities in this role, will be as follows:

• Risk Assessment and Supplier Approval
• Have high standards of people management, so to have an increase on the current product quality
• Review complaints from customers, and ensure corrective actions are established.
• Maintain ways of ensuring successful Audits, through regular documented ‘Health and Safety’ and ‘Foreign body’ checks
• Undertake formal approval Audit’s of existing and prospective new Suppliers

We are looking for someone with experience in the Quality Assurance field, who have had management experience or who feel they are ready for that next step up. You will need to have the highest level of communication at all times and have drive, energy and enthusiasm towards the role. You will ideally have a degree in a food science or related subject and be able to build strong relationships with suppliers.
