Job Description

Our client is one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of bespoke and seasonal fine cakes, desserts and patisseries in the UK with a product list exceeding 400 lines.The intimate nature of the company allows each employee to feel valued and intricately involved. The products are both fresh and frozen and low to high risk with NPD the key to the company meeting customer requirements.

As a senior development technologist within this company you can expect a good deal of autonomy; managing projects from concept to delivery and being the principal contact for projects both internally and with the customer base. As senior development technologist you will liaise closely with NPD colleagues as well as the technical, commercial and packaging team. A large part of this role will be managing and motivating more junior development technologists and pastry chefs and progression within the business is a real option in the future for the right calibre candidate.

To be considered for this role you will be passionate about food and in particular an appreciation for the product base coupled with a proven track record of delivering highly innovative, commercially viable products to the market. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with different members of the business.
