Our client is a market leading chilled food manufacturing group that is highly focused on driving quality standards and ensuring they are pushing the boundaries within the industry. This position is based in the South West, and the business is looking for a Technical Manager to join the site management team and be the key stakeholder for all technical issues. Reporting into the Site Director, the key remit is forging strong relationships with customers. As a Technical Manager you will ensure the safety, legality and quality of all new and existing products. You will be responsible for the design, implementation and review of processes for BRC quality systems and HACCP. You are the key point of contact for a highly innovative top four retailer and will be tasked with managing a small technical team. You will be expected to play a key role in the site management team and operate as a business leader at all times.

The ideal candidate needs to be factory orientated and have experience of working at Technical Manager level within the food industry and must have previous experience of working in a high risk food environment, with sound knowledge and experience of BRC, HACCP and legislation. You will need to have the ability to communicate at all levels within the business and have the confidence to deal with a top four retailer.
