Job Description

The client manufacturers a range of chilled products for the Major Retailers. The client is constantly developing and improving current practices and is keen to attract candidates with a focus on team work and a can do approach.

The Technical Manager- Systems has responsibility for Technical Specifications, Retail Quality Management Systems, Technical KPI, Customer Complaints, Technical System Ownership, Raw Material and Suppliers etc. The role works closely with all members of the Operation Management team. The Technical Manager – Systems, manages a team of specification technologist, technical administrators. The Technical Manager – System role provides expert Technical advise and information to internal and external customers. It ensures that Technical systems and procedures are understood and communicated. That the systems are fully documented and maintained within a recognised system. You will need to approve Raw Materials this will require some auditing of other Food Factories. This is an excellent opportunity for a Technical Services Manager or Technical Manager that enjoys Systems Management.

This is a senior role and would sit on the Site Operation Management Team working closely with the Development Manager, Factory Manager, Commercial Manager, Technical Manager on Site

• Food Safety and HACCP practical application
• Degree/HND in Food or related Microbiology or Held a Technical Management Post
• Exposure to Major Retailers
• Food Manufacturing within added value chilled food, or complex added value food
• An understanding of Retail Specification Systems
• Good Knowledge of Retail Quality Management Systems
• Implementation and management of Quality Systems within a Food Factory
