We have just been briefed with a new Warehouse Section Manager as part of the warehouse team of a huge food production facility in the Lincolnshire area.

Job Description

This site produces a wide range of fresh prepared food products and supplies almost all of the UK’s major retailers. This business has a proven track record of developing its employees through a structured career path and can offer genuine career path opportunities. This site is one of the largest in the group and there is plenty of opportunity to upskill and be involved in best practises and ways of working.

You will be responsible for managing, organising and controlling all activities within the Warehouse function. You shall maximise the efficiency and utilisation of all resources, including labour and equipment to achieve the required service levels and performance results. You will also provide a key link between the Warehouse and all internal and external customers. This role will be working on a rotating morning and evening shift.

This role requires someone with an ability to lead and motivate teams and individuals to achieve results. You should also have a proven track record of delivering change through continuous improvement initiatives and techniques with an ability to work under pressure and being capable of reacting to ever changing needs of customer requirements. This is a managerial role and therefore previous management experience of logistics within a high volume operation (ideally food) will be required.
