Job Description

Our client is a major European primary and value-added protein business with multiple factories throughout the UK. Now looking to further strengthen the senior team with the addition of a Commercial Account Manager

This role provides key support to the Commercial Director, taking responsibility for the delivery of commercial activities within the specified retailer and for accurate and professional day to day account management, with accountability for managing existing business with specified customers, whilst also gathering and presenting information about opportunities to achieve sales growth within existing product boundaries and balancing carcase sales (selling cuts of meat currently commodity traded).

The role is responsible for supporting the delivery of the commercial strategy/plan as agreed with the Commercial Director, to drive profitable growth of relevant products through a designated customer base. The root to success in this role will be through strong product knowledge, product margin focus, and utilising the full range of information and category management tools (such as data analysis and interpretation, price, product range/NPD, promotional and marketing tools) to support the presentation of new growth opportunities and defend the existing retailer business.

You will be an experienced Commercial Manager working in a similar FMCG environment and managing one of the 'Big Four' accounts, preferably Sainsburys.
