This is a fantastic opportunity to really influence the nations eating habits, develop chilled products for major retail clients for a food category that has plenty of scope for innovation.

For this particular role it's not necessary to have previous experience of food product development within a food manufacturing environment, however it would certainly give you the edge. What we're looking for is a Chef who has a number of years working in kitchens where quality and standards are high, where careful sourcing is second nature and where both classical and new cooking methods are used. We envisage that to fulfil this role you will have reached at minimum Sous Chef level and have been a strong influence in at least one of your roles where you have developed menus, refined recipes and set and maintained high standards of working practices, interacted and trained junior members of the kitchen brigade. All these working practices can be transferred to an NPD kitchen. Excellent communication and organisational skills are critical when working in product development. You'll need to be able to share your passion for food and convert the knowledge into commercially viable products that will sell.
