This Interim Technical Assistant role will give you 6 months experience within a highly successful, food manufacturer, based in London. You will be working with all the major retailers, supplying own label products.

Our client is based in London and is a well-respected company that leads the way in terms of product development. This site supplies nearly all of the UK’s retailers with a wide range of short shelf life products. The client is constantly developing and improving current practices and is keen to attract candidates that can add to this change journey. In this interim Technical Assistant role you will be reporting to the Technical Manager and will be responsible for supporting them in their role. This role will improve your knowledge of the food and drink industry and will allow you to work with successful, innovative products.

In a typical day as the Interim Technical Assistant you will be working along side your manager and ensuring that product traceability, HACCP, BRC and retailer standards are maintained and improved where necessary. You will also be required to support the Technical Manager in customer complaints analysis and management, monitoring the quality system and reporting any non-conformances as well as internal auditing, taste panels, collection of product samples and co –ordination of factory nutritional testing schedules.

Previous experience of working within a food and drink manufacturer will be critical for the applicant to be successful. Previous team communication and independent working will set you at an advantage in this role. Some travel is required so a driving licence would be necessary for this role.

• Willing to continually improve standards across the business
