New Product Development Manager

Summary

A New Product Development Manager is required for a large dynamic chilled food manufacturer. This role would suit an experienced NPD Manager with or someone looking to step up into a role. You will also require a proven track record of delivering an extensive NPD programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work with talented Senior Development / Commercial Managers.

Job Description

The client is a large chilled food manufacturer constantly looking to improve their products and process. This is a busy NPD team with a large product category. The client is focused on the customer and delivering and exceeding expectation. They have several sites within the UK and can therefore offer candidates real opportunities for career development.

In the role of NPD Manager you will need a real passion for food and a working knowledge of the complete development cycles. You will have worked on both NPD and Innovation projects previously, be able to push boundaries and be able to work cross functionally You will show that you can lead and mentor others in the NPD team, the team consists of technologists, senior technologists and NPD Managers. This is a customer facing role therefore excellent communication and presentation skills are essential. Teamwork is key within this role working closely with several different functions to ensure NPD critical paths are on target.

• A passion for Food
• Previous experience of working in a chilled manufacturing environment the client will also consider Ambient Sectors and Added Value Produce
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills along with effective project management skills
• Management experience
• Experience of working on Retail Accounts or Food Service
• Excellent Presentation and Communication skills
