Quality Assurance Manager - Food Manufacturing

Our client has a blue chip reputation with multiple sites, within a fast paced food manufacturing environment. They are a market leader producing branded and own-label household named food products.

Based at Suffolk, they are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Manager to join the business, reporting into the Head of Operations.

Our ideal candidate would have experience of working in a FMCG environment. A high level of Health and Safety awareness is essential, together with the ability to effectively manage the day to day running of the Quality team/department. Alongside maintaining efficient sampling and testing systems, support will be provided to the production team ensuring analytical equipment on site is properly maintained. The key focus of this role will be to ensure all products leaving site comply with all food safety legislation, as well as the Company’s high quality standards.

Qualified to at least A-level standard or have a Science related degree in Food Safety, with experience of working with quality systems or have management/ supervisory skills gained either in the workplace or other environments. Self-motivated and pro-active, they will have the ability to see the wider picture as well as deal with the day-to-day details, ensuring the site meets the required standards for British Retail Consortium (BRC), ISO 9001.2008 and all Retail/Industrial customer audits standards.

The normal working hours for this role will on the day shift; a minimum of 40 hours per week, additional hours may be required to meet the needs of the business.
