Job Description

Our client is a chilled and frozen food manufacturer supplying many of the major retailers and foodservice with a range of value added products. Building on continued growth and success our client is now looking to strengthen the management team by the appointment of a Senior Process Technician to manage the M&S business.

Role Purpose: To head up the day-to-day progression of both product and process development projects for Marks and Spencer. To achieve this task the role will interface with site based technologists, production, technical, planning and cost accountant. To follow the NPD process for taking concepts into production enabling accurate labour, process and product costs to be provided and the process to be fully proven.

Role responsibilities: To manage the progress of product concepts from initiation and onwards to launch. To hold pre-production meetings with all site based stakeholders, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful product launch.

  • To establish and manage a Critical Path for all new products and monitor progress ensuring deadlines are met and the Customer is aware of status.

  • Co-ordinate all product information relating to specs and communicate to stakeholders
  • To take an active part in the EPD/cost out programme and treat with equal priority to NPD.

Ideally you will currently be in a similar role preferably in a chilled, M&S environment and will hold a degree in a food related subject

You will require strong interpersonal skills as you will be liaising directly with the customer, both at the factory and their Head Office. Attention to detail is also important in order to ensure the ‘paper trail’ is accurate and good time management skills essential to switch across projects and deliver to tight timescales.

Apply now to ensure a prompt interview and avoid missing out on the opportunity to work with one of the most prestigious ‘high-end’ retailers in the UK!
