Job Description

Petra Foods, with its corporate Headquarters in Singapore, is one of the world's largest cocoa ingredients manufacturers and a major player in branded chocolate confectionery products.
Delfi Cocoa Europe (www.delficocoa.com) is part of Petra Foods and a relatively new business unit as a result of a recent acquisition in Europe. Its European HQ and sales office are located in the Netherlands (Zaandam) with production facilities in Germany (Hamburg) and France (Dunkirk). Delfi Cocoa's product range comprises cocoa butter, cocoa liquor and cocoa powder. These products are used in various food application areas, but mainly in the confectionery, bakery and dairy sectors. To realise the ambitious development and growth targets of Delfi Cocoa Europe, we are searching for senior candidates for the following key position

Supply Chain Manager
Challenging role to build and expand the cocoa supply in Europe - Hamburg, Germany

Position
- Responsible for managing the entire internal and external supply chain process in Europe, including raw material supplies, production planning, logistics and customer satisfaction
- Organising and coaching the Supply Chain team, currently consisting of eight people at three different locations (five in the Netherlands, one in Germany and two in France)
- Providing the interface between suppliers, factories, customers and the commercial team, both on a day-to-day basis as well as in the medium and long term
- Ensuring the availability of the right quality of raw materials (cocoa beans and raw cocoa butter) for the factories according to the required specifications
- Managing the production planning for the factories
- Planning warehousing requirements and arranging optimal service levels for direct deliveries to customers
- Understanding customer requirements and specifications and steering the various supply activities accordingly
- Reporting to the European Commercial Director

Profile
- Master's degree and educated in an economic or technical field
- Relevant and senior work experience in supply chain or logistics management and preferably familiar with the agrifood industry
- Comfortable working in a matrix organisation and playing coordinating, facilitating and executing roles
- People manager with strong social and communication skills; fluent in English and preferably knowledge of Dutch, German and French
- Willing to travel regularly, mainly to the production facilities in Germany and France
- Personal skills: energetic, strategic view, excellent leadership, decisive, helicopter view, pragmatic and team player
