Junior Product Developer

Job Description

As (Junior) Product Developer at Mars, you are responsible for executing and delivering projects by creating and developing new concepts and recipes, from ideas towards manufacturing start up, location Oud-Beijerland (The Netherlands).

Position

·         Responsible for executing and delivering projects by creating and developing new concepts and recipes, from ideas towards manufacturing start up

·         Using consumer research techniques to define, evaluate and develop new product ideas in a team environment with other technological expertise and disciplines

·         Managing the day to day planning of projects and ensuring milestones are met

·         Considering and integrating latest knowledge in nutrition and technology for developing products

·         Supporting continuous improvement actions in close collaboration with process development, manufacturing, quality and activity management

·         Working closely together with local and international marketing and consumer focus teams

·         Reporting to the Manager Product Development

 

Profile

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technology, Chemistry, Nutrition

·         Relevant work experience in R&D, Marketing or Operations and affinity with product design and development

·         Project management skills and able to meet deadlines with cross-functional teams

·         Challenged by working in a professional, dynamic and international organisation

·         Excellent communication skills, with fluent English

·         Fit with Mars’ culture and specific job competences: creativity, innovation management, planning, motivating others, conflict management, dealing with ambiguity and customer focus
