Job Description

Reporting in to the Head of Purchasing you will be ultimately responsible for all packaging procurement for this highly successful chilled food business. You will be given the autonomy to negotiate and deliver arrangements for a spend value of around £40m. Packaging experience is critical for the role across CPET, plastics, moulded pots, cardboard sleeves and outers etc We are looking for technical capability with an understanding of migration testing for example or heat levels. You will be a purchasing professional ideally with a business related degree and MCIPS. The business are innovative in their approach to developing packaging categories to ensure they stay at the forefront of the industry. Your maturity and integrity will allow you to act as an advisor and guide internal members. Extensive experience within food or FMCG manufacturing is essential.
