Non Executive Director

Job Description

Our client is a highly successful international operation focused on a broad range of added value chilled and frozen food products. They are working across the UK and mainland European retailers and have ambitious plans for the future. The Board wish to appoint a Non Executive to support them and help guide their thought processes over future strategy.

They want an insightful business mentor who will help shape strategy for the business and support growth needs. You will be a confidante to the Board and an advisor on the big picture agenda, whilst being prepared to dip in to the operating agenda from time to time if required. It is key you have senior level contacts and knowledge to allow the business to get straight to the decision makers in key customers and to support this process.

We are looking for a senior individual with a broad knowledge of UK food retailing and manufacturing, being able to contribute to the vision for the sector, supported by knowledge of the personalities, needs and hierarchy of the industry, as a result of being a Board Director of a large, multi customer food business. You will be a sounding board for ideas, and a catalyst for thought and innovation. You will have a good knowledge of, and good reputation within, the UK food retailers at senior Board and operating level. You will have a demonstrable ability to advise on winning strategies for business and be seen as a senior mentor to the MD and Main Board members. In the challenging world of a food manufacturing business we are looking for an individual who can provide clarity and objectivity around the senior table. This is clearly a part time role requiring the commitment of 2 to 3 days a month. Remuneration will be compatible with such a role and level of position.
