Packaging Development Technologist

Job Description

As Packaging Development Technologist for Mars, you are responsible for the development and implementation of technical packaging specifications for new items for market activity across different lines in the factory, location Veghel (The Netherlands).

Position

·         Responsible for the development and implementation of technical packaging specifications for new items for market activity across different lines in the factory

·         Trouble-shooting of packaging issues on the line

·         Evaluating, optimising and improving existing packaging materials, their construction, systems and procedures

·         Obtaining higher efficiency of the packaging processes and getting a better quality/cost ratio of the packaging

·         Maintaining the technical relationship with packaging suppliers

·         Representing packaging development in the activity task groups

·         Reporting to the Packaging Development Manager

 

Profile

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technological or technical direction, preferably with additional packaging courses

·         Some work experience with packaging issues in a manufacturing environment  

·         Good project management and co-operation skills with various functional disciplines 

·         Ability to understand technical drawing software would be an advantage

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English

·         Fit with Mars culture and the specific job competences: drive for results, action oriented, priority setting, problem solving and technical learning
