Development & Technical Manager

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join this state of the art rapidly growing Food Ingredients Company producing both wet and dry marinades, sauces and seasonings, mainly into the meat industry. We are looking for an experienced Development Manager who has the drive and energy to lead and motivate the small Development Team forward. There will still be lots of hands on kitchen involvement as will there be lots of customer interface therefore refined presentation skills are vital. Most of the Blue Sky concepts originate with the customers but you will need a sound understanding of developing these ideas into reality. You will be tasked to build relations with customers, ensuring customer confidence, showcase product versatility and deliver innovation and will work closely with the Commercial Team. A thorough understanding of the science of ingredients is essential to this role as is a technical bias and a sound understanding of labelling and specification requirements. You will have to possess strong, inspirational leadership qualities, be able to drive NPD forward through strategic growth, moving into new product areas. You will also be required to work in Germany for at least 12 weeks of the year. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
