QA Manager

Job Description

 Reporting to the General Manager you will be the senior technical person on site and as such this is a really exciting opportunity to join a business with a huge amount of potential for future growth not only at this site, but broader within the organisation.

You will be responsible for the management of the quality department, leading, managing and developing what is currently a relatively small team.  It is important you set a vision and deliver a department that ensures that the business produces food that is safe, legal, meets quality standards and customer specification. 

Your responsibilities will include internal HACCP, and GMP, customer audits, quality, micro and environmental testing, and specifications.  It is essential you can work with the GM and senior team members, but also being prepared to get stuck in and deliver on the factory floor when required.    You will also have contact with a wide array of customers in a broad range of sectors.

SO what do we need?  A strong personality to cope with teh demands of a chilled food environment, we need to see loads of potential as this business sis growing, we was a proven track record of success in managing a QA team,.  You will have a degree in a food science or technical background, it would also be great if you had previous chilled conveince food experience in a technical capacity.

This business is relatively small but it is growing rapidly and it has a real focus and purpose to develop great products in what is a relatively unique product area.  There is a real desire to do things right and you will play a key role in that, forging for yourself a very good career at the same time.
