Job Description

Reporting to the Business Director you will manage the factory operation and control all aspects of the day to day running of the site. Focusing on H&S, Food Safety , product quality and efficiency whilst working within budgeted labour and food costs to service all customers to agreed targets. It is also important you create a culture of CI and cost control.

The focus for you will be on Customer service, raw material, packaging and labour utilisation whilst driving a business culture that drives continues improvement and cost reduction.

We want to find a leader, who will create a culture that drives continuous improvement and cost reduction, develop a management team that gets the job done whist maintaining good staff morale

It is not a large site...currently but the business is growing and has a very positive future. So we need to find an individual who will get stuck in , and help grow teh business.

Ideally we want a seasoned food industry Operations or production speciality with knowledge of chilled, high risk food manufacturing. As the business grows their will be a need to implement new systems and procedures, so knowledge of SAP or similar would be advantageous. It is a KPI focused business and therefore we need an individual who can drive these into the business and communicate them to the team. We are also looking for a strong and effective people manager to take teh team on to teh next level.

In summary this is a great opportunity for someone to join a small business in a large Group; a business with a high level of growth potential, and to take control of it and help the Business Director develop it to the next level and beyond.

You will probably be a factory or Operations Manager in the added value chilled food arena. What will be important is demonstrating the energy and enthusiasm and experience to take on your own business.
