Supplier Assurance Manager

Job Description

This role report into the Technical Manager. The role purpose is to establish, develop and maintain the Technical standards in relation to raw material supply into the business.

The Main Responsibilities within the role cover

The development and maintenance of raw material specifications. Involvement with the packaging specifications along with the Procurement teams.
To Manage the Raw Material Technicians on a day to day basis.

Provide practical support on the assessment of goods should they fall into the refer category of the specification.
Liaising with all departments and communicate clearly the proposals and outcomes.

Responsible for coaching, supporting and the development of the Raw Material Technicians.

Work with the NPD teams for product being launched into the business making sure they are technically approved through risk assessment and HACCP analysis.

Own projects agreed with the Technical Manager or proactively develop your own Quality improvement plans agreed with the Technical Manager and site teams.

Conduct supplier audits - dependant on expertise

To apply you will need

·Minimum of 2 years experience in Quality/Technical Management or have knowledge of Produce field
·Good practical working knowledge of quality requirements and specifications
·The ability to work independently and also be a team player
·Have the ability to communicate at all levels both written and verbal
The ability to think through problems and follow them through to conclusion Flexibility and drive
