Stores & Despatch Shift Manager

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of this global food manufacturer who is continually growing. This role of Stores and Despatch Shift Manager reports into the Warehouse and Distribution Manager. Your remit will be to lead and develop the Stores & Despatch department, in the achievement of service levels, targets, objectives and adherence to company standards and procedures.

Our client is looking for

·Excellent Leadership, Management, Communication and Organisational skills with previous experience of managing a team.
·Experience in a fast moving FMCG or Chilled Foods or Short Shelf Life environment
·Positive attitude and approach, the ability to drive change and CI through a team.

Your role would be to plan, organise and manage a team of 10. You will be responsible for the day shift including Operatives and Team Leaders and will measure all resources to ensure that targets for despatch are met. You will co-ordinate with the Warehouse and Distribution Manager, Team Leaders and Operators to ensure the smooth operation of goods intake, storage and despatch. Your KPI measurements would be Labour, Customer claims, Turnaround times, Stock adjustments, Customer Service. You will need to be computer literate to record daily performance and labour and communicate closely with production to quickly identify and resolve any customer shortfalls.

Hours of Work - 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on a three on / three off rota
