Job Description

This class leading fmcg manufacturing business is actively looking to recruit a Group Reporting Manager. It operates from a broad range of UK and International business sites, but this role will be based at their East Midlands Head Office.

As Group Reporting Manager you will produce the group's financial, management and statutory accounts, acting as 'The Centre of Excellence' and providing advice to the board in relation to all external accounting standards/IFRS issues.

Other accountabilities include:

The management and production of the all group management reporting including weekly flash results, monthly consolidated profit and loss account, balance sheets and cashflow.
The direction of the group forecasts and business plans include forecast cashflows, and balance sheets for the group and other sub-groups.
The production of board (group and management) reports and presentations with associated commentary.
Ensure that timely and accurate information is available to external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and IFRS, including rollout of new standards to the group.
Produce the group consolidated and individual statutory accounts, on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, for group, bank or legal requirements.
Produce covenant information for bank reporting and liaise with group treasury.
Deliver consistent and timely reporting of information to banks and other lenders.
Manage the central services costs and Head Office management accounts team.
Liaise with the Group Tax Manager over appropriate tax treatment/planning according to business need.
Liaise with the Corporate Finance Manager over the accounting treatment of acquisitions, joint ventures, business restructures and disposals.
Support Business Unit Financial Controllers on regular reporting, ensuring compliance and accuracy of information provided.
Develop new systems and processes as appropriate to support business need.

Selection Criteria:

Previous group reporting experience, management qualified with a credible period of post-qualified experience. Knowledge and experience of Head Office/Group Reporting, and managing a Finance Department in either a private sector business or PLC. You will be technically strong with demonstrable commercial acumen that recognises the key role and impact the finance function has on the commercial direction of the business. In this dynamic, fast paced and challenging business environment it is essential that you have really strong interpersonal and influencing skills to influence senior management and peers.
