Operations Manager

Job Description

This operational management position is a fantastic opportunity to progress from a senior production management role, into a mini factory management position. You will lead and manage a chilled food manufacturing unit and will need to be able to demonstrate experience of managing day-to-day operations from goods-in through manufacturing to dispatch. This is a business with very high standards and a belief in best practice so some previous insight into lean principles would be a distinct advantage. We are looking for a leader for now and a leader of the future and career progression opportunities are excellent for the right candidate. Equally important, will be the demonstrable ability to think ahead, planning your operation for the next six months. Previous experience as a Factory Manager or Senior Production Manager in a chilled or added value food environment would be a distinct advantage. You must show that you have the ability to get buy in from the team, encourage idea generation and most importantly - deliver results. An experienced and successful production professional, you must have the drive, determination, resilience and intellectual ability to make a real difference.
