Job Description

Our client is a highly respected manufacturer of added value chilled and frozen food products and an opportunity has arisen for a skilled, operationally strong Finance Director to join the business.

As a member of the Operating Board, the main purpose of this role is to take responsibility for all aspects of the financial management within the business.

The successful candidate should be a highly visible, hands-on Finance Director within their current business environment and will have a track record of building credibility at Group level through the effective generation and dissemination of data. This will not always prove an easy task and suitable candidates will need to demonstrate resolve to develop Best Practice within the business. The ideal candidate will hold a recognised accounting qualification and be able to demonstrate evidence of financial and commercial analysis. Strong people skills and the ability to contribute strategically to the Executive Team structure are essential. You will show evidence of driving process improvements and implementing business growth oriented plans as well as polished interpersonal skills.

It is highly preferable that you will have worked in the food industry, understand the challenges presented by the major retail customers and that you have experience of managing it, and have a strong view on the people agenda.

You will be required to implement continuous financial audit and control systems to monitor the performance of the business unit, its flow of funds, the adherence to the budget, the expenditures, the income, the cost of sales and other budgetary items. You will liaise extensively on a cross-functional basis with Commercial, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Product Development colleagues.

This is a high profile commercially focused FD role that will require a strong, confident and very involved finance professional.

This role will be based in North East Lincolnshire.
