Job Description

New Product Development Pastry Chef required to join a stable Development Team to assist with the continued growth, to ensure ongoing success. Tasked to deliver innovative products that satisfy customers and business objectives.

Previous experience of a patisserie, cake or dessert manufacturing environment would be an advantage, but definitely not a prerequisite. A proven track record working in the Pastry Section of a hotel or restaurant recognised for their consistent quality and vision is vital. You'll need to be aware of food trends and be technically sound in dessert production with an eye for detail and flair to deliver a point of difference in taste and visuals.

You will work as part of a Development Team supporting Senior Development Chefs who will train and develop you into this new business environment, working from brief through to launch gaining an understanding of factory processes and how to handle demanding retail customers. You will continually explore new and interesting product ideas and evolving existing ranges, drawing from your past experiences and constantly explore the market restaurant and retail to keep up to date with emerging tends.

You'll need to be able to effectively and constructively manage and prioritise your time and projects often working under pressure to meet strict deadlines. You will need to be able to handle criticism work with it to meet and exceed customer expectations. A degree of computer literacy is essential to manage all related documentation. You must also be a car driver.
