Product Retail Technologist

Job Description

This major food retailer is looking to appoint experienced Technologists to deliver all technical aspects of product development within specific category areas. This will include, in particular, ensuring that its own label suppliers produce safe, legal products which consistently meet business and customer defined quality standards.

You will need to be experienced in due diligence, specification and quality assurance sign off and have a great track record of developing strong, reliable supplier relationships. Your role will also entail delivering the technical support for product development across your assigned product area to meet agreed launch timescales. Further down the line, this will include reviewing the products against appropriate quality standards.

Product areas will embrace: wines & spirits, chilled foods, fresh produce, grocery products, snacks, toiletries and household products - so experience in any one of these would be an asset.
