Process Development Manager

Job Description

This is an exciting senior role within a dynamic and faced paced Food Development Team. The company is part of a well known chilled food group who strive to achieve outstanding quality and deliver excellent customer service. This role is focused on continually improving processes whether through identifying better manufacturing methods, developing and investigating new technologies or improving current practices.

You will work closely with the Head of Development and Technical Management to ensure that the critical plan is delivered. You will lead and motivate the site Process Development teams ensuring a right first time culture is continually adopted within the internal team. You will need to have experience of working with Product Development teams within the chilled food manufacturing industry and demonstrate a complete understanding of factors affecting food safety and process variability of chilled products and raw materials.

This role will focus on business technologies and investigate new processes to provide innovation for the site and customers. Good communication skills are essential and ideally you should be accustomed to working with the major retail customer base. An understanding of basic engineering and design principles and food manufacturing equipment is also essential.
