Group Purchasing Manager, Fresh Produce

Job Description

This Group Purchasing Manager position is a highly influential role both within the supply chain and the group itself. You will be leading a team of skilled Procurement Managers who have responsibility for purchasing Fresh Produce for a number of separate, dynamic business units.

Your remit will be the on going development of robust and progressive supply chain strategies on both a domestic and European level - and on occasion internationally. You will need to have an excellent understanding of the technical considerations across Fresh Produce embracing ideally, Leaf, Vegetables, Fruit and Protected Crops. This will enable you to deliver measurable benefits through the successful implementation of agreed and documented strategic sourcing plans and set and deliver the Fresh Produce budget forecast prices.

Imperative to the success of this role will be your ability to develop strong internal relationships across the Group to ensure effective two-way optimisation of business strategies.

A strong leader of people, you will also be a skilled negotiator with a clear and logical approach to business development.
