Packaging Innovation Project Manager

Job Description

As Packaging Innovation Project Manager, you are responsible for developing and implementing ‘fit for purpose’-specifications of industrialised packaging solutions, location Veghel (The Netherlands).

Right now for the Packaging Innovation Department in Veghel we are searching for a Packaging Innovation Project Manager.

 

Position

·         Responsible for developing and implementing ‘fit for purpose’-specifications of industrialised packaging solutions

·         Aligning packaging solutions with the business and market segment strategy

·         Creating, developing and implementing packaging solutions from initial concept, which deliver to defined consumer and customer benefits

·         Ascertaining functional requirements of the pack through its life cycle (from factory to bin)

·         Gathering information from technological, innovation trends, competition set, trade customers, sustainability, packaging and equipment suppliers

·         Visiting other manufacturing sites and/or markets in Europe

·         Working together in cross function innovation teams with colleagues from Marketing, R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain and Finance

·         Active member of the European team and reporting to the Manager Packaging Innovation

 

Profile

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Packaging or equivalent

·         Relevant experience in a technical role associated with packaging materials or systems, with frequent contact to a factory environment

·         Passion for packaging innovations related to FMCG

·         Familiar with packaging design software, engineering drawings and CAD techniques

·         Prepared to travel (about 20% of time)

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience with project leadership

·         Fit with the Mars culture and specific job competences: problem solving, taking initiative, planning and organising, dealing with ambiguity and standing alone
