Packaging & Artwork Co-ordinator (FMCG/Food)

Job Description

Our client is a major manufacturer within the chilled foods sector currently undergoing an exciting expansion programme within the group. As part of this growth they now require the expertise of an experienced Packaging Technologist or Marketing Services Coordinator with food/fmcg packaging experience to join them at their prestigious site in the West Midlands
.
Reporting to the Technical Manager you will be managing the UK packaging development/artwork approval process to ensure all artwork is fit for purpose, delivered according to critical paths, on cost and meeting all statutory/quality requirements. This will include structural packaging development (in partnership with the commercial/engineering teams), and the refinement/management of internal/external (retailer driven) artwork approval processes. The development of strong working relationships with external agencies, customers and suppliers is essential. Accurate record keeping is central to the role, including the maintenance of a cutter guide, design and packaging library.

To successfully deliver results you will need to have excellent project management skills, as well have highly developed interfacing and communication skills. This is not a technically focused role it really is about overseeing the successful delivery of a process ensuring a seamless transition (from concept to shelf) their packaging development and artwork for their own label and branded products.
