The sort of salary you can expect to achieve within a permanent hygiene management role can range from £25k for a team leader/ shift supervisor role, to higher-level managerial roles in the region of £35-45k per annum. In the last year Focus Management Consultants have filled a number of Hygiene Management roles; the average salary offered was £36,000, plus 70% of these roles offered a pension and 40% offered a bonus. There certainly seems to be a trend to up-skill Hygiene Management professionals and we have seen an increase in the number of roles in this important discipline. Perhaps some of this demand is fuelled by the new legislation introduced into the UK in January 2006.
