As Quality Co-ordinator for Chiquita, you will be monitoring and maintaining food safety and quality management programs for their fresh cut fruit operation in Maasbree (The Netherlands).

Position

·         Responsible for monitoring and maintaining food safety and quality management programs for fresh cut fruit operation

·         Implementing global food safety standards and providing expertise in microbiological, chemical and physical food safety and allergens management

·         Educating and training all production related staff on Chiquita global food safety and quality systems

  • Facilitating in root cause analyses and coordination of corrective actions due to non-conformances, customer complaints, internal or external audits
  • Translating regulatory requirements to local situation, ensuring that any concerns are identified and communicated
  • Advising R&D on quality requirements for implementing new innovations in production
  • Assisting with quality and food safety needs for healthy beverage business produced at third parties
  • Working closely together with colleagues from Operations, Warehousing, R&D and Customer Support. Reporting to the Director Quality Europe & Middle East

 

Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology or Biology
  • Some years experience in a QA environment, preferably in the chilled food industry
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems and Food Safety standards
  • Strong communication skills and able to improve quality awareness trough several levels of the organization
  • Willing to travel 10% of time
  • Able to influence change in areas where there are no direct reporting relationships
  • Personal skills: flexible, independent, analytical, coaching, problem solving, decision making and a positive attitude
