As Global Engineering Director for Mead Johnson Nutrition, you are responsible for providing leadership and support for engineering capabilities by supporting plant leadership in the region Europe and Asia, location Nijmegen (The Netherlands).

Position

• Responsible for providing leadership and support for engineering capabilities by supporting plant leadership in the region Europe and Asia
• Managing an adequate staff and a number of contractors
• Assessing available resources and priorities from a regional and a global perspective and aligning these with relevant projects
• Managing major programs, project and investments from a technical, financial and resource perspective
• Working across the organisation to develop and successfully manage the capital budget  to ensure projects are completed according to stakeholders expectations
• Leading contact negotiations and structuring agreements
• Working closely together with regional leaders, management and key stakeholders to ensure capital and technical investment plans support business priorities
• Reporting directly to the Director Global Engineering & Manufacturing Services, based in Asia

Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering
• Senior work experience and relevant successful technical project management experience, preferably in food and/or pharmaceutical engineering in various areas
• Proven leader with a track record of supporting multiple locations and providing value added engineering leadership
• Demonstrated greenfield site development and/or management of projects of USD 100M range highly preferred
• Willing and able to travel 50-60 % of the time in the Asian and European region
• Inspiring mentor for direct and indirect reports
• Personal skills: excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills, high results oriented, passion for the business, strong leadership skills, high integrity, effective business partner
