My client, a leading manufacturer of ambient food products, is looking to appoint a Food Development Technologist.

Reporting to the NPD Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to join a pro-active NPD team of five people responsible for assisting in the creation of new products and evolving existing ranges to keep ahead of competitors.

Key Responsibilities:

· To contribute ideas towards the innovation of new products
· To manage assigned development projects from concept to delivery
· To communicate effectively with internal departments including manufacturing, sales, marketing and technical
· To ensure shelf life tests are undertaken
· To be responsible for developing concepts, and taking new products from the kitchen into the factory
· To meet agreed timings whilst complying with specified BRC quality standards
· To ensure production and technical teams have all the relevant information for product launches and to provide support throughout the launch.

The successful candidate will have a relevant food degree such as Food Technology or Food Science and will have experience of working in a development or innovation based role. This is a company which will progress people quickly based on success and will suit anyone living in the Chester, Cheshire, Liverpool, St Helens, Merseyside or Lancashire area.
