As the Food Development Chef you will influence and inspire, raise food standards and food awareness throughout the site, you should be viewed as the trusted font of food knowledge.  You will work on brief and blue sky projects, work closely with marketing, commercial and factory colleagues to ensure that your client retain a competitive edge.  You will deliver innovation utilising your extensive trend and ingredient knowledge, aim to become category champions.  There will be regular customer and internal food presentations which will require confidence and tenacity.  It is important that you are able to calculate product cost and accurately record information, therefore a degree of computer literacy is vital.

Required

·         A credible culinary background

·         Previous food manufacturing experience essential, with the ability to take ownership of projects and see through to completion

·         An understanding of market trends

·         A strong commercial acumen
