Supply Chain

Supply Chain Management covers a broad range of business areas with differing functional responsibility:
Forecasting, Planning, Purchasing, Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Inventory Management, Transport, Warehousing, Distribution, Customer Service etc. Every business has a supply chain, whether they are manufacturing companies, food service suppliers or indeed recruitment consultants; each business involves taking a group of resources, creating a product or service, and delivering that product or service to a customer. There is no rigid career route into supply chain positions. It is normal for candidates to move across business disciplines into the supply chain arena, and it is increasingly becoming a career of choice for graduates. Qualifications for supply chain careers can be gained in a number of business schools that offer supply chain and purchasing qualifications at a degree and masters level.
