UK to enjoy Mediterranean summer food trends from Zizzi and Don Simón

The Italian high street chain Zizzi, are hoping the traditional Venetian tapas Cichetti will be the next trend this summer. Cichetti is a traditional Venetian menu of small dishes designed for sharing.
Another new summer trend could be Don Simón's still lemonade. Made from pure squeezed lemons, the drink will be available in Sainsburys and Asda.

Zizzi, the high street Italian chain, is launching its first ever menu of Cichetti - traditional Venetian small plates.
Launching to satisfy a range of consumer tastes, the new menu will offer diners a selection of Venetian tapas - tipped to be one of the food trends this summer.
Celebrating both the diversity and quality of Italian food, Zizzi is attempting to bring this Italian trend to the British high street and has developed Cichetti as an appealing option for groups to get together and enjoy sharing food.

From Polenta Croccante - crunchy nuggets of polenta - to Arancini, mini risotto balls with mozzarella, peas and a tomato chilli sauce, Cichetti creates a platter of small food bites to mix and share.
Also appearing on the new menu is Salsicca Al Pepe Nero - sausage with lentils and cannelloni beans, and Polpette Al Pomodoro - a mixture of beef and pork meatballs in a spicy tomato sauce.

Claiming to "take the refreshing nature of this bitter-sweet tipple to a new level" the brand hopes to gain new consumers this summer by upping the number of options it provides on-shelf.
Made from pure squeezed Spanish lemons, Don Simón's Lemonade is being launched as a traditional, fresh drink that is both familiar and associated with the Mediterranean.
Priced from £1 for a 750ml bottle, the brand believes its new offering will appeal to a wide range of budgets.
First launched in 1982 and produced by the J. García-Carrión company, Don Simón is Spain's no.1 juice brand, equating for 59% market share.
