Cadbury job uncertainty concerns MP

Following the massive £1.5bn takeover of Cadbury by Kraft in 2010, MPs have begun to raise concerns about the safety of Cadbury employees' jobs after 2012.

As we move quickly through 2011, MPs are keen to get answers from Kraft as to whether they intend to safeguard the Cadbury jobs or make redundancies.

Not only will MPs be looking for reassurances, the UK based Cadbury team will be eager to hold on to their jobs in what is still a tricky time for job hunters.

Following a recent meeting between Kraft executives and number of MPs, no decision was made as to whether any job security would be given past the end of this year. Concerns were made worse when the Kraft CEO, Irene Rosenfeld, refused to attend the meeting for unknown reasons.

Whilst previous discussions have highlighted the importance of the Cadbury research centres based in the UK, MPs are still worried about the future of Cadbury's UK staff and also about the pressing UK staffing levels issue.
