Terry Haigh, MD of Fruitapeel announces new jobs

Up to 15 new jobs could be created following Fruitapeel's purchasing of a juice factory in Wales.

Fruitapeel acquired the All Natural Juice Company factory in February 2011 and is looking to take in new staff to add to the 15 employees who previously worked there under the old company and management.

Fruitapeel is best known for its manufacturing of own label fresh fruit juices for a number of the big food retailers. Its customer base includes the Cooperative Group and Iceland. The company has set first-year plans to run the factory at 20% capacity, producing 10 million litres of juice in the 50 million litre capacity site.

Fruitapeel have only operated in the juice sector for just over 12 months but have made a big impression and significant growth to suggest they are planning to stay.

By employing some of the staff from the old factory, Fruitapeel were in the media's good books and following confirmation that the company has secured a contract with another retailer, plans to take on further employees is another gold star.

In a time when jobs are in short supply, companies that are able to grow and find new employment opportunities can be the key keeping the economy alive.
